Cow Parsley (Wild Chervil)
In this week’s blog we are discussing at Cow Parsley and the nutritional benefits for horses.
With their long stems, these ubiquitous plants are easy pickings for our horses, even while being ridden!
As with Dandelions, Cow Parsley has a ‘lookalike’ imposter commonly know as poisonous Hemlock. As the name suggests, these plants are very dangerous as they contain toxic alkaloids which can cause respiratory failure and even death. Therefore, it is very important to spot the difference when you are out with your horse this Springtime.
